Penelope is about a young girl's that is going through a inspiring journey , mysterious family secret and the power of love. With all the odds against her for Penelope to break the family curse, she must find true love with "one of her own kind"(pg 36) and realize the most important life lesson, "I like myself the way I am." Penelope Wilhern, born witgh wealthy socialites behind her name and spell that can only be broken when she finds love. Hidden away in her family's mansion when Penelope meets a a group of handsome men to attempt to break the curse. Each handsome man is invited to the house but then her curse is revealed. Lemon, a evil sneaky paparazzi and evil reporter wants a photograph of the hidden Penelope and hires Max to go low as his evil plan and trys to get Max to get the shot. The handsome Max is a hard core gambler finds out that he is falling for Penelope but not wanting to disappoint her or to marry her therefore he decides to disappear. Penelope is fed up by what happen with Max so she decides to live life on her own terms, Penelope breaks free from her family problems and trys to fit in with the world alone. She finds it hard at first but then she finds Annie her first friend and becomes the person she was meant to be.
