,Beauty :
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

 Beauty is important to people and could mean a lot of things. Yes beauty is about how your hair is, how straight your teeth are, or what your wearing.  To me, beauty is completely opposite to those things.  Beauty means two things in life.  Everyone has different perspectives of beauty.  It could mean different things from how you look, or how you act or how you feel deep down inside.  By getting other people's opinion on beauty could change your whole perspective on it.  Just wishing that I could have the beauty like Megan Fox, or have a heart like Gandhi and believe in things like him. You can create a beauty to look and acted like people but everyone is different from each other to be the same.  But as people change their style and appearance they create there own beauty.  That's why beauty from the inside and outside becomes who a person is and other people notices it.  What does beauty mean to you? Do you look into a mirror and see a beauty with in  yourself?  Do you feel good about the way you look?   Is your perspective the same?


 The goal is for the readers to understand the point of the topic of beauty and to make them think and ask them self's what they think beauty is? Or If they believe in it and  relate to it ? The point is to make the readers understand that there are different types to beauty and makes them figure it out what beauty is with in them selfs as they read my tapestry. They will leave with questions like why,what,how etc. The readers will feel emotion when they read my tapestry and they will also feel a connection and  relate to the topic of beauty.

1. What is the purpose of your poem? What mood, message or point are you trying to make?
  The purpose of the poem was to show the readers what's going on with Penelope in the book i'm reading.

Penelope is the main character  in the book and she goes through a'lot her whole life trying to find love to lift the cures. Penelope struggles to find the love she needs but it turns out she discovers it and become a wonderful beautiful woman.In my poem i have had words like discovers , wondrous world and wealthy , these words are describing whats going on in her life or how she is feelings. Theses words defiantly describes the feel and the mood set in this story.

 2. What did you do to create this purpose? Discuss your word choice and your decision on the size of particular words in comparison to other words.
 I took actions with these big words that were in the book that best describes the base of the story.The outcome of my poem was to mix up all my words and randomize them and turn it into a harder poem to read because i want my readers to think to them self and read it out loud over and over again so they cant put the puzzle together and figure out the poem.
For an example:
wondrous world -Penelope stuck in her house and she has her won Wondrous world inside her mansion. 
discovers-She discovers love and that someone loves her for not only her beauty 
wealthy -Her parents are very Wealthy 
Pig face-Penelope had been curse with a pig nose 
Curse - Penelope great aunt has blessed a horrible curse on Penelope turning her nose into a pig nose.

  Yes i did use wordle , it was hard to use at first but when you started to look around adn figured out where you wanted to put your words and what color/font/size etc it was easy to get along with. You could cut and paste words into a different style or shapes on a piece of paper or you could use object with your words and make a skit  predestination.

Foreshading is an element that gives clues off in the book for what is going to happen next or later on in the plot. The book The First Part Last is an great example of foreshading because the book Angela Johnson had wrote was jumping back and forth with issues these two teenagers were having with life and the then's and now's. An great example in the book would be when the baby was already born (Feather) and Bobby the dad was raising the child all by himself and then later on in the plot the mother has died when she had the baby. So therefore making this story an element of foreshading.

"If she hollers, shes mine. if she needs to be changed , she is always mine in the dictionary next to "sitter", there is not a picture of grandma . it's time to grow up Too late , you're out of time . Be a grown-up "

This quote i thought really gave a good example of foreshading because it was one of the parts in the book were it was a now and its was the present time instead of the past.

Pathos is an element where anything in the passage that tugs at your heart strings. Think of the words sympathy or pathetic that makes you think of pathos in your story . In the story The First Part Last I think Angela Johnson has made the mood in the story a Symantec feeling and there were various parts in the book that touched my heart and  made me feel sad for Bobby.Therefore this story is an element of pathos .

This quote from The Best Part Last really gives a good idea of why this book is an pathos element and it shows that Angela Johnson want's me/ the reader  to feel sad for Bobby or feel something for him and Angela does a good job of showing this in the book. There is a'lot of moments when i have felt this way about Bobby.

She is a mystified nerdy girl.who didnt care that I am ugly and different from others. I just moved here from PEI.  Roy is my name.  When I was born, my great great Aunt put a curse on me. I had scares all over my body, odd tattoos markings , chunks of skin hanging on parts of my body and had no hair. Beauty isn't something I have. My dad move me into a house alone were I had a blind man that home schools me as I never went to school. I have only talked to my mother once when I was five before I started to become this "thing".  I'll never forget those words that she said before she lefted me," The future belongs to who believes in beauty of their dreams". I never believed that, as I look like a walking creature that nobody accepts for the person I am inside. My dream is to be a normal person and for my true beauty to peak its self out. On my sixteenth birthday I made a wish to become beautiful and for someone to love me again.  I opened my eyes, nothing changed I still looked like a freak.  Finally I gave up and said to my self "I'm beautiful in my own way ." I have to love myself . I have amazing friend like Sally who didnt care what I looked like. I'm ugly on the outside but its the inside beauty that matters and for me that makes a beautiful thing in this world.

She's a smarty pants maybe even to smart for me. She has the long blonde straight hair about 5'3 skinny and has the nerdy glasses that suit her very well.She always talks to me and i don't know why. I'm ugly , not smart 6' and don't dress like what she does at all . I don't fit in to well i just moved here from Prince Edward Island. Roy is my name and the only child in our family.I don't fit in well with beauty like others . Ever since my parents were young my great great aunt had put a curse on the 2nd baby boy born in our family , lucky me i had to be the 2nd born boy.I suffer scares all over my body . Tattoos that i don't know what they mean chunks of skin out of my skin and no hair on my body. Let's just says i'm an ugly i'm 16 now and living in hell my whole life. Beauty isn't something that comes and goes for me i got per ugliness. My dad made me move into a house alone were i have a blind man that home school because i'm to scared to go to school nore does my dad want me to go there anyways he is to embarrassed. Sometimes i will go to the YMCA camp were i had met sally but only people will dissablities go there.I only go there to clear my head or to see sally sometimes.I have only met my mother once when i was 5 years old before i started to become this "thing". I dream everyday that this "thing" will just go away and some beauty will peak out inside of me,but it hasn't or ever will. This month i had turned 16 i made a wish that id become beautiful and someone will love me again. Sally had made me a cake and when i blew out the candles and wished upon a star , i could feel something different in me. Don't know if it was the wisdom from Sally all the time or if it was faith. After awhile nothing had changed i still had my scares , tattoos and no hair. Finally i gave up and said to my self "I'm beautiful in my own way ". I realized i had a amazing life , amazing people in my life . Brett hemmer the blind man , Suzie Mckay my made and Sally love my only bestfriend . I found the person deep inside me that didn't care what i looked like or cared what people thought of me. I knew i looked bad on the outside  but i have people that love me  for the inside and that makes a beautiful thing in this world.

Beauty :
-.You can achieve beauty if you earn it or take care of it . Beauty comes inside of you . You can have your own beauty in different ways such as believing ,being loyal , being kind etc.  You could go on about how to achieve your own beauty.  Beauty can be a beautiful thing.  It can bring happiness to your self.   Some people think there beautiful and better then others therfore they start to hate and bring negative thoughts to people . I find that some people can be mean with beauty. It  isn't everything but in some cases it is.  Beauty comes natural to people . And if your not beautiful people can be cruel.  Beauty isn't just  looks, its more then what people think it is. Over the years people are changing their looks with plastic surgery, trying to be beautiful and changing their appearance.  But really you will always be the same person with the same beauty you have always had inside and outside.  Its not all about outer appearance beauty  and someday everyone will come together and realize it.  You are who you are, with the beauty with in yourself.

- Amanda is saying that being Beautiful isn't everything its just something on the side. She says that if you look deep into someone you can see there true colors either there pretty or not you might have something in common with there personality inside instead of there looks. Most people don't look "skin deep" into each other because they just judge of how they look right away. Also Amanda is right when she says most the time it will get boring fast if you don't look skin deep . Beauty is inside of you and everyone will soon see it.-If you achieve beauty you might have pros and cons about beauty. It might be harder to find something you love because you are losing who you want to be and becoming what the world wants .But if you come "skin deep" beauty then you might still be beautiful but still have your personality inside of you and who you are inside of you. You will love your self for who you are and not care about if people judge you for your beauty or how you look because to you it isn't all about that.

Charcter Traits

Bobby's life at this point isn't what he expected. Bobby's life is having some  ups and downs and Nia isn’t helping him out at all. Bobby is feeling Physical and Personal moods about Feather and his life . Feather is keeping him up all night with crying so he either has to change her or feed her or look after her. He is missing school grades going down or he is either  late for school or doesn't even go. Bobby isn't hanging out with his friend's all the time like he use to . He is really missing out with his friends. His friends growing up staying in school being kids and Bobby is staying at home with feather. Bobby is missing the time he use to spend with his friends and it is really effecting him. At one point J.L called him to come play basketball  and Bobby had feather and she was sleeping  and he just ran out of the house and forgot about feather .Bobby has the whole world on his shoulders and  he is trying to take care of feather and juggling school and is trying not to fail and be the best. Bobby is  trying his best to go through this and is getting his act together and is going to rise Feather the right way and be a father.

Supense or pathos

"How he'd gotten the keys to nelson's room .It's never  good to know too much about J.L has in the back of his head."
In this quote from the book is a flash back to before feather was born and how Bobby was in school and knew that the baby was coming and he still acted out in school. So i had picked this as a suspenseful moment in the book because it has a lot of moods in it such as is Bobby is ready for Nia to have a baby. Therefore this is a suspenseful moment and  it makes a bunch of  flash backs for if  Bobby is having a curious thoughts about Nia having feather because he is still a kid in school and still wants to do what kids to best and that's fool around . Bobby is Frustrated because he doesn’t know what to do . Bobby gets taken out of class because Nia had to go to the hospital or problems with feather  Bobby's flash back turns out to be good because in the ends Bobby is happy that Nia had Feather and that he is a loving dad that is going through ups and downs but is glad feather is born. This flash back was taken place at Bobbys school with his friends and turned into him leaving to go to the hospital for Nia.

Points of View

For the first part last.
For the first part last is in first person its shows where a the story  is narrated by one character at a time( Bobby) and speaking about themselves. First-person in my story  may be singular, plural or multiple.  Bobby the main character is telling his story and how his life is changing because he has a baby girl now. Bobby is the main  character in the book because he tells us how his life is changing because he is having a baby girl and the author had put  him talking in first person . To me i feel like when i'm reading the story i hear him telling me the story and only him to me it seems to be way more clear. I think the author had picked Bobby to be the main character and the first person point of view because i think its more predictable to have the baby mom ( Nia ) as the main character just because she had Feather and she is the one with the problems ( the baby girl ) . Therefore i think the author was thinking outside the box and  by picking Bobby as the main character .Also Bobby has just as much to tell about his life and  life changing as it goes on. As Nia does too so therefore i think it is better if we hear it from someone else is point of view such as Bobby  .I like the way the Author had set up  the story , Angela the author had put it into a first person story and i find it better to understand if someone is just telling the story . It's easier to focus on what’s going on and stay on topic with the book and whos talking each time . Also is very creative to just listen to Bobby talk about the people around him and just hearing it from his point of view. If it was up to me i would not change the point of view because i like had Angela had put Bobby as his first person it give the book a creative taste to it and makes you want to understand this is what actually happen to teenagers that don’t use protection and having a baby. It changes peoples lives and im looking forward to how Bobby is going to keep his life with Feather and Nia .

I had chose Corey Simms from Mtvs televison show "teen mom" Season 3 because he is one of the dads that is on the show that is young and  he married his girlfriend and loves he loves her alot and kids no matter what. He has gone through a lot with having the baby and fighting with his wife and not having a family to help him and this is the same relation bobby is going through to . Bobby is like this because bobby is 16 and his Girlfriend is pregnant and is having a baby and Bobby is going to do everything in the world to support his baby like Corey is doing . They are both the same and both love there girlfriends and children . They are both loving and they both show it in the same similar ways.

The mood set in when i first opened  the book would have to be very bouncy /caring/ drama and  loving. At the beginning of the novel there is a'lot of jumping around because Feather was born by theses 2 teenage kids  Bobby and Nia and they don't know how to handle it yet or what to do yet . Nia the mother of Feather is still battling school and baby Feather . Therefore so far the novel is very bouncy jumping from Nia to Feather to  Bobby's life . Bobby's cherishes Feather with all his life .He knows it's going to be a rough time but he think's he is going to be the best farther to Feather .K-boy and J.L are Bobbys best friends and have been there for him so far and they are  trying to support him 100% but having a kid means being there for your baby and being a farther to Feather so therefore Bobby is losing time with his friends and being a normal teenager .
